Students Dedication to SSC Exams After Fathers Death Touches Hearts
Rushikesh Puri, a Class X student from Latur, Maharashtra, became an epitome of determination when he appeared for his SSC exams on Friday, just hours after performing the last rites of his father. Despite the personal tragedy, Rushikeshs unwavering commitment to his education inspired everyone.

Student's Father Passes Away Suddenly
Rushikesh's father, Ramnath Puri, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening in his native village of Dhalegaon in Ahmedpur tehsil. Rushikesh, who resides with his maternal uncle in Bori-Salgara village in Latur tehsil, had to travel 100 kilometers to reach his father's village for the last rites.
Exam Center Arrangements Made in Village
Considering the circumstances and the distance to his original exam center, Latur Divisional Board President Sudhakar Telang and Group Education Officer Babanrao Dhokade made special arrangements for Rushikesh to write the exam in his own village.
Student's Determination Praised
Rushikesh's unwavering determination to sit for the exams despite the personal tragedy he had just experienced drew praise from everyone present. His resilience and focus were seen as an inspiration to others.
Smooth Conduct of SSC Exams in Latur
Meanwhile, the SSC exams commenced smoothly across the state on Friday, with no major disruptions reported in the 153 centers in Latur. However, one case of copying was detected in Bori village center in Latur tehsil.
Measures to Curb Irregularities
To ensure the integrity of the exams, the Latur Divisional Board and Department of Secondary Education deployed 29 flying squads to monitor and prevent any irregularities.
Student Attendance and Center Distribution
In Latur tehsil, a total of 14,065 students appeared for the exams at 51 centers. The exams were also conducted in other talukas, with 3,104 students at 13 centers in Ausa, 4,001 students at 16 centers in Nilanga, 843 students at four centers in Shirur Anantpal, 1,293 students at six centers in Devani, 6,069 students at 25 centers in Udgir, 1,002 students at four centers in Jalkot, 4,644 students at 19 centers in Ahmedpur, and 1,795 students at six centers in Renapur taluka.
