Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Thursday refuted media reports which said that RSS will consider entry of women in 'shakhas'.

A day after Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi accused the organisation of having no place for women, media reports quoting a top official of the RSS suggested that the organisation is considering entry of women.

However, in a series of tweets, RSS called such reports "Deliberately concocted baseless reports".

RSS clarified that "What Dr Vaidya said was that RSS works with men only in shakhas and through them, we connect with their families."

Shakha work among women is being conducted by Rashtra Sevika Samiti

"In all programs and campaign in society women also are participating. Women create an atmosphere of cooperation in families to support RSS," said RSS.
