Ranchi, Nov 18: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today announced Rs one lakh assistance to the family members of a man who died while standing in a queue at a bank branch in Palamau district to exchange demonetised notes.
The elderly person, identified as Ramchandra Paswan of Kandi village, died while standing in the line at the bank branch in Mohammadganj on Wednesday, an official release said here.

Das said both security to banks and attention to common people are being given. In coordination with the RBI and other banks, the state government has taken various measures to minimise difficulties of people in rural areas in exchanging and depositing scrapped banknotes, the release said.
