Rs 1.11 crore reward offered to prove 'The Kerala Story' claims

The Kerala State Committee of Muslim Youth League has announced a reward of Rs 1 crore for anyone who can substantiate the allegations made in the movie 'The Kerala Story'.

The movie, set to release on May 5, has sparked controversy and has been accused of spreading hate propaganda against Kerala.

Various political leaders have condemned the movie and alleged that it is part of an attempt to implement the Sangh Parivar agenda to create a divide in society.

The Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly, VD Satheesan, has demanded that the movie should not be granted permission for screening.

According to the CPI(M) and the Congress in Kerala, the film falsely claims they converted, got radicalised and were deployed in terror missions in India and the world.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Sunday had slammed the makers of the film, saying they were taking up the Sangh Parivar propaganda of projecting the state as a centre of religious extremism by raising the issue of 'love jihad' -- a concept rejected by the courts, probe agencies and the Home

'The Kerala Story' is backed by Sunshine Pictures Private Limited, founded by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who serves as the producer, creative director and co-writer of the film.

The film's writer-director Sudipto Sen's earlier movies are 'Aasma', 'Lucknow Times' and 'The Last Monk.'
