Robert Vadra Summoned By ED For Questioning In Land Deal Case, Calls It 'Political Vendetta' By BJP
Robert Vadra Summoned By ED: Businessman Robert Vadra, the brother-in-law of Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, is heading to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after receiving a second summons for questioning in connection with a money laundering investigation linked to a land transaction, which he has described as a "witch hunt".
Speaking en route to the ED office, Vadra called the notice a "political vendetta by the BJP", reported India Today.

He said, "Whenever I raise the people's voice, they try to suppress me. I have nothing to hide. They can ask me whatever they want and I'll answer them."
Vadra, whose wife Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is a Congress MP representing Wayanad in Kerala, is facing scrutiny in a money laundering case associated with a land deal in Haryana. This marks the second summons issued to him in this matter. He was previously asked to appear before the ED on 8 April but did not comply.
Reports indicate that the 56-year-old's statement will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) once he presents himself to the federal agency.
Vadra has been questioned by the ED in a separate money laundering case in the past.
The current investigation centres around a land acquisition by Vadra's company, Skylight Hospitality, in February 2008 for ₹7.5 crore. The mutation process, which typically takes several months, was reportedly completed the following day. Within months, he was granted permission to develop a housing society on the land, significantly increasing its value. He subsequently sold the plot to DLF in June for ₹58 crore.
