Robert Vadra Criticises Kangana Ranaut's Parliament Remarks, Stresses on Women's Safety
Robert Vadra, husband of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, criticised BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Friday for her remarks on the farmers' protests. He stated that she does not deserve to be in Parliament. "She is a woman. I respect her. But I feel she does not deserve to be in Parliament. She is not educated. I feel she does not think about people. She thinks only about herself. She should think about women," Vadra told reporters.

Women's Safety Concerns
Vadra emphasised the importance of women's safety, urging all political parties to unite on this issue. He said, "My appeal is that the entire country should come together and move forward on the issue of women's safety." He highlighted that ensuring the safety of women is a critical concern that requires collective action from all political entities.
Ranaut's Controversial Statements
Earlier in the week, Ranaut, who represents Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, shared a clip from her interview with Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar on X (formerly Twitter). In the interview, she suggested that India could have faced a situation similar to Bangladesh during the farmers' protests against the three now-repealed farm laws if not for strong leadership. She claimed that bodies were hanging and rapes occurred during the agitation.
Allegations Against Foreign Involvement
Ranaut also accused China and the United States of being involved in a conspiracy related to the farmers' protests. These allegations drew significant criticism from opposition parties, who condemned her statements as baseless and inflammatory.
Vadra's visit included stops at various places of worship and meetings with people from different sections of society, including differently-abled children. His comments on Ranaut's statements reflect his broader concerns about political discourse and women's issues in India.
The ongoing debate around Ranaut's remarks continues to stir reactions across political lines, highlighting the deep divisions and sensitivities surrounding the farmers' protests and related issues.
