R K Nagar bypoll: EC seeks answers on symbol misuse row
Dinakaran had filed a complaint with the EC on the attempt being made to confuse voters on Thursday, following which the Panneerselvam camp has been asked to respond
Taking cognisance of TTV Dinakaran's complaint against O Panneerselvam camp misrepresenting their symbol, the Election Commission has sought a reply. The EC has asked Panneerselvam camp to file a reply before April 3. AIADMK deputy general secretary TTV Dinakaran had alleged that the AIADMK Puratchi Talaivi Amma faction was attempting to confuse the voters by misrepresenting their electric pole symbol with the AIADMK's original 'two leaves' symbol.

The Panneerselvams camp had released a video campaign that superimposes the green two leaves symbol on their current and temporary symbol of electric pole represented by twin lamp posts. The symbol looks similar to the AIADMK's symbol which was opposed by AIADMK Amma faction led by Dinakaran.
