Revoke passports of Khalistani elements abroad: Lawyer to cops

With the number of Khalistan related incidents rising in foreign nations, a complaint has ben filed with the Delhi Police.

Supreme Court lawyer, Vineet Jindal filed a complaint with the Delhi Police against the pro-Khalistan protesters, who are protesting at the Indian Embassy in Washington, USA.

The complainant requested the Delhi Police to lodge an FIR against them and take strict action against them by revoking their passport as per the law.

The Indian Ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and the staff of the embassy in Washington DC were threatened and harassed by the protesters, according to the complaint. They also vandalised the Indian Embassy and abused an Indian journalist verbally. The protesters were also inciting the public against the Union of India just outside the Indian Embassy, the complaint read.

On March 25 a group of pro-Khalistani protesters abused and threatened Sandhu, the Indian Ambassador to the United States.The Indian embassy was also vandalised, and some protesters were spotted encouraging violence.

Jindal further said in his complaint that one of the Khalistani demonstrators was heard making baseless claims about alleged killings of religious minorities in India. The video of the same was circulated widely online, he said.

These statements clearly show the intent of the protesters and they want to incite, Sikhs, Muslims against the Indian State and Indian Government, the complaint said.

These acts and statements made by Pro-Khalistani protesters are instigating and provocative in nature, which intend to create disharmony, hatred and enmity amongst the various religions and masses of of India and incite the masses to fight against the Indian Government, the complaint read.

Jindal urged the police to lodge an FIR and take strict against these persons by revoking their passports as per the law.
