Republic Day 2024: Delhi Police Share Traffic Advisory, List Of Alternative Routes

In view of the Republic Day parade preparations, the Delhi Police on Wednesday shared a traffic routes advisory for the commuters going through central Delhi. Taking it to Twitter, the Delhi Police shared the diverted routes, for the people who go through the Kartavya Path, for the next four days, with a break on Friday.

As per the traffic advisory, some road closures and re-routing to ensure smooth proceedings for Republic Day parade rehearsals will be implemented from January 17 to January 21, 2024.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:

The intersections of Kartavya Path-Rafi Marg Crossing, Kartavya Path-Janpath Crossing, Kartavya Path-Mansingh Road Crossing, and Kartavya Path-C Hexagon will experience limited traffic movement from 10:15 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The segment of Kartavya Path between India Gate and Vijay Chowk will be entirely closed to any traffic during this period.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES ADVISED:

For those traveling to New Delhi and nearby areas from Vinay Marg and Shanti Path, it is suggested to explore alternative routes:
Option 1: Sardar Patel Marg - Mother Teresa Crescent - RML roundabout - Baba Kharak Singh Marg.
Option 2: Park Street - Mandir Marg, and then proceed further.
