Reliance Jio Introduces JioTag, a Cost-effective Alternative to Apple AirTags: Check Price
Reliance Jio has launched a new gadget called JioTag in India, aiming to help individuals track lost items. Designed as a more affordable alternative to Apple's AirTag, JioTag uses Bluetooth technology to track items and comes at a budget-friendly price.
Here are all the essential details about this innovative device.

JioTag is available for purchase on the Jio website and is priced at Rs 749 in India, while its maximum retail price (MRP) is listed as Rs 2,499. Customers can opt for cash on delivery, subject to availability in select pin codes. In comparison, Apple's AirTag is relatively expensive, priced at Rs 3,490.
According to Reliance Jio, the tracker boasts a battery backup of up to one year. It not only helps users find their lost items but also enables them to locate their misplaced smartphones by simply double-tapping on the tracker, even if the phone is set to silent mode.
JioTag further alerts individuals if they happen to forget their wallets, keys, or other belongings, providing the location of the item. The Bluetooth tracker has an indoor range of up to 20 meters and an outdoor range of up to 50 meters, supporting Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.
To utilise the JioTag, users need to download the latest version of JioThings from the Google Play Store for Android users or the App Store for iOS users.
One notable feature of JioTag is the Community Find functionality, which allows users to view the last tracked location of the item, even if it gets disconnected. With this feature, users can also track the location of their JioTag device if they misplace it. To utilise Community Find, users must report the lost device on the JioThings app, and the Jio Community Find feature will search for the device and provide the location.
Reliance Jio assures customers that JioTag can offer a battery life of up to one year and is equipped with a replaceable CR2032 battery. The device weighs 9.5 grams and measures 3.82 x 3.82 x 0.72cm in dimensions.
