According to sub-inspector Suresh Yadav, the girl was spotted in the Motipur range of Katarniaghat wildlife sanctuary.
During the rescue, the monkeys and the girl screeched at Yadav. However, after a few attempts, the police shifted the girl to a district hospital.
Doctors who are treating her said that the girl seems to have lived with the monkeys for two months.
They also said that the girl can neither speak nor behave like human beings and sometimes walks on all fours.
They added that she sometimes turns violent and gets scared when someone goes near her.
"The girl was found two months ago, eats and walks like animals, and runs away on seeing humans," said Chief Medical Officer D K Singh.
"She has marks on her skin, looks like she has lived with animals for quite some time. Now she is better and healthy, showing improvement," added the CMO.
