Ready To Discuss Manipur Issue: Amit Shah In Parliament
Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday urged the Opposition to allow a discussion on Manipur, stating India to know the truth about the violence-hit state and the government is prepared for the debate in Lok Sabha.
Speaking briefly in Lok Sabha, he requested opposition leaders to allow debate, saying it was important for truth to come out before the country on the Manipur issue.

As soon as the House reassembled at 2.30 pm after three earlier adjournments over the Manipur issue, Shah said leaders from ruling as well as opposition parties had been wanting to hold discussion on the Manipur issue.
"I am ready for discussion on this in the House. I request the Opposition to let a discussion take place on this issue. It is important that the country gets to know the truth on this sensitive matter," said Amit Shah in Lok Sabha.
But as the opposition members continued with their protest demanding a statement by the prime minister, Speaker Om Birla adjourned the proceedings for the day.
Earlier in the day, leaders of several opposition parties on Monday staged a protest in Parliament complex demanding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi make a statement in the House on the Manipur issue.
Holding placards and banners that read "INDIA for Manipur" and "INDIA demands PM's statement on Manipur", the opposition parties raised slogans against the government near Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Parliament complex.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condemned the alleged sexual assault of women in Manipur state as shameful and promised tough action.
