Rajasthan Government Removes Four Health Officers for Negligence

In a decisive move by the Rajasthan government, four health department officials from Bikaner, Kotputli, and Bharatpur were relieved from their current positions and placed under Awaiting Posting Orders (APO) following adverse feedback regarding their performance. This action was prompted by directives from Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma after a review meeting held on Friday highlighted concerns about their duties.

4 Health Officers Removed for Negligence

The officials affected include the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMO) and the Block Chief Medical Officer of Sridungargarh in Bikaner, alongside the Principal Medical Officers (PMOs) of Kotputli and Nadbai in Bharatpur. The decision underscores the state's commitment to maintaining a high standard of public health services.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department, Shubhra Singh, detailed instances of negligence that led to these drastic measures. Bikaner's CMO, Dr. Mohit Singh Tanwar, was notably absent during an official visit by the district in-charge secretary, while Sridungargarh's BCMO, Dr. Jaswant Singh, also displayed negligence in duty.

Similarly, in Kotputli, PMO Dr. Suman Yadav was found to be negligent and has been replaced by Dr. Chaitanya Rawat. In Bharatpur's Nadbai, PMO Dr. Manish Chaudhary has also been put under APO status for similar reasons. These actions were taken with immediate effect to ensure accountability and efficiency within the health department.

Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur, Director of Public Health, confirmed the removals and stressed the importance of diligence and responsibility in serving the public health sector. The swift action taken by the Rajasthan government reflects its zero-tolerance policy towards negligence and inefficiency in public service roles, especially within critical sectors like health.

This development sends a clear message about the expectations from public officials in Rajasthan and the government's readiness to act decisively to uphold standards in public health administration.
