Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project to be Completed in Five Years, Says CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced the BJP governments commitment to completing the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) within five years, addressing water scarcity and irrigation needs in Eastern Rajasthan. He criticized the previous Congress government for delaying the project and highlighted the progress made under the current double-engine government.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Tuesday accused the previous Congress government of stalling the Rajasthan Eastern Canal Project (ERCP), which he claimed is now on track for completion only due to the efforts of the BJP-led "double-engine" government.

ERCP to Bring Water Abundance to Eastern Rajasthan
Sharma announced that the integrated ERCP project will be completed within five years, providing ample water for drinking and irrigation purposes in Eastern Rajasthan. He emphasized that the collaboration between the Central and state governments has facilitated the project's progress by removing obstacles that had hindered its implementation under the previous administration.
Maharaja Surajmal Statue Unveiling
The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing a program during the unveiling of a statue of Maharaja Surajmal on the occasion of his birth anniversary at the Maharaja Surajmal Brij University campus in Bharatpur.
Addressing Paper Leak Incidents
Sharma also addressed the recent paper leak incidents in the state, stating that the BJP government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate these cases. He revealed that 25 individuals have been apprehended in connection with the leaks.
Concrete Steps for Law and Order
The Chief Minister highlighted the concrete measures taken by his government to enhance law and order in the state. These include the establishment of a task force dedicated to eradicating gang wars and eliminating crime syndicates.
