Rain, hailstorm likely over parts of MP, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra
In the next two days, northwest India is predicted to receive light to moderate rainfall, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and western Himalayan region will witness heavy rains with hailstorms.
The western Himalayan region is predicted to receive significant rainfall and snowfall while the plains of northwest India will witness isolated to scattered rainfall.

"Light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, snowfall with thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds (wind speed 30-40 kmph) very likely over Northwest India during next 2 days, significant reduction thereafter for subsequent 02 days and a fresh spell likely to influence the region from 06th May with scattered to fairly widespread rainfall, snowfall over Western Himalayan region and isolated to scattered rainfall over plains of northwest India for subsequent 2-3 days," the IMD said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Delhi's maximum temperature is predicted to settle around 28 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
Owing to intermittent rainfall and cloudy weather under the influence of successive western disturbances, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature at least 10 degrees below normal in the last three days.
The national capital witnessed its second coldest day in the month in 13 years after the maximum temperature dropped to 26.2 degrees Celsius on Monday. The city recorded a maximum of 28.3 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
May is the hottest month in Delhi with a mean maximum temperature of 39.5 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD.
It has to be noted that the weather agency has predicted another western disturbance which is likely to affect northwest India from May 5. As a result, cloudy skies and sporadic rain is predicted in the capital until May 7, an IMD official told PTI.
