Rain alert issued in Uttarakhand
Dehradun, July 15: With the weather department predicting heavy rains in the state for the next two days, Uttarakhand government today asked district authorities to take necessary precautions.
In an advisory issued to District Magistrates, Chief Secretary Shatrughna Singh asked them to be vigilant and take necessary precautions, an official release said.

The MeT Department has predicted rains in most parts of the state on July 16 and 17 and heavy showers at one or two places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Nainital and Champawat districts.
