Railway Recruitment Cell Seeks 4,096 Apprentices: Apply Online Before September 16

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has announced the recruitment for 4,096 apprentice positions across various divisions, units, and workshops within the Northern Railway zone.

The application window opened on August 16 and will remain accessible until September 16. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply through the RRC's official website.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent with at least a 50 per cent aggregate mark. Additionally, they must hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade. These qualifications should be completed before the date of this notification.

2. Age Limit: Applicants must be between 15 and 24 years old as of September 16. There is age relaxation available: five years for SC/ST candidates, three years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD).

Reservation Details

1. Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST): If the required number of candidates from SC or ST categories are not available, positions may be filled by candidates from other reserved or unreserved categories.

2. Other Backward Classes (OBC): Unfilled seats from OBC candidates will be filled by candidates from the unreserved category.

3. Ex-Servicemen and Their Families: Special provisions are available for children of deceased or disabled ex-servicemen, children of ex-servicemen, and children of serving military personnel, as well as ex-servicemen themselves.

4. Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): PwBD candidates must provide a disability certificate from a competent authority. Their disability should be compatible with the trade they are applying for, according to the Apprentice Rules.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of Rs 100 is required to be paid online during the application process.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the merit of marks obtained in the matriculation/SSC/10th class and ITI examinations. No written test or viva will be conducted. In the case of a tie-in mark, preference will be given to older candidates. If the dates of birth are the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be preferred.

1. Visit the RRC official website and select the "Engagement of Act Apprentice" online application link.
2. Register by entering your details, including name, father's name, community, category, mobile number, email ID, and date of birth.
3. After registration, you will receive a password via email and SMS.
4. Log in to your candidate dashboard to access the application form, fee payment section, and document upload area.
5. Complete the application form, pay the fee (except for exempted categories), upload the required documents, and submit your application.
6. Ensure all documents are correctly uploaded to avoid issues with your application.
