Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu falls asleep while performing Yoga

New Delhi, June 24: While everybody including Prime Minister Narendra Modi were performing yoga asanas on International Yoga Day [In Pics: How politicians celebrated maiden International Day of Yoga], Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu seems to have taken a liking to one asana in particular- the Shavasan.

Pictures of Prabhu dozing off while performing yoga on International Yoga Day in Kerala have gone viral. The pictures were first published in a Malyalam daily but soon went viral online.

In the pictures Prabhu is seen performing the 'shavasan', a yoga asan which requires an individual to lie down like a corpse in a relaxed position.

But Prabhu ended taking up a short nap only to be awaken by a volunteer. Later that day, Prabhu tweeted:

Meanwhile, twitteratti went into a tizzy and Prabhu became the butt of jokes. Even Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted :
