Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to Lead 15 Rallies in Bihar Ahead of Elections

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are expected to participate in about 15 rallies in Bihar, according to party insiders. As the election battle intensifies in this key Hindi-speaking region, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, who recently had a pacemaker implanted, will also address three rallies and hold several press conferences. Overall, the top leaders plan to conduct 18 rallies before the elections.

Rahul Gandhi kicked off his campaign with rallies in Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga. Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi is currently in Wayanad but is scheduled to travel to Bihar later this week for campaign events. The Congress party has listed 40 star campaigners for the first phase of the Bihar assembly elections, including Sonia Gandhi, Kanhaiya Kumar, and Independent MP Pappu Yadav.

Key Figures and Campaign Strategy

The Congress party's Bihar affairs in-charge Krishna Allavaru, state unit chief Rajesh Ram, and general secretaries like K C Venugopal and Bhupesh Baghel are also part of the campaign team. Other notable leaders such as Sachin Pilot, Randeep Surjewala, Syed Naseer Hussain, Ashok Gehlot, Tariq Anwar, Gaurav Gogoi, Mohammad Jawed, and Akhilesh Prasad Singh are included in the list of campaigners.

K C Venugopal shared on X that the Mahagathbandhan rallies in Sakra and Darbhanga led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have energized the campaign. He stated that these efforts aim to establish a government focused on people's welfare by replacing the current NDA administration. "We are receiving more and more support from every segment of society with every passing day, and we are set for a solid victory in the upcoming elections!" he added.

Electoral Timeline and Opposition Strategy

The opposition INDIA bloc comprises the RJD, Congress, and Left parties as its main components. They have announced RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as their candidate for chief minister in Bihar. The electoral process will take place on November 6 and 11, with results expected on November 14.

This strategic approach by the opposition aims to challenge the current government by rallying support across various societal segments. The focus remains on presenting a united front to bring about change in governance within Bihar.
