Rahul in Maharastra: Representation of tribals in Parl is important

Rahul Gandhi interacts with tribal youth
Shirpur (Maharastra), Mar 5: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who is on a two day-tour in Maharastra on Wednesday interacted with the tribal youth here.

Rahul has been travelling across the country meeting representatives of various groups including farmers, tribals, NGOs and porters seeking their opinion on the party's election manifesto.

While many youth voiced their opinion and lamented about their problem, Gandhi heard them patiently. Speaking to the youth he said: "Representation of tribal in the Parliament is important for the empowerment."

He also said that he wanted to bring the voice of people in the selection of the candidates for the elections. "I want your voice to be heard at the state and national level," he said.

Rahul will also be addressing a rally in Aurangabad on Wednesday followed by an interaction with the people. On Thursday, Mar 6 he is likely to interact with the fisherman in Versova and then will conclude the tour with a rally in Sonale village, Thane.
