Rahul Gandhi to give lecture at Cambridge where George Soros is a donor

George Soros is yet again in the news for his comments on the Adani Group issue. He has for many years funded programmes that are aimed at de-stabilising India

Congress leader and Gandhi family scion Rahul Gandhi announced that he would be delivering a lecture at 'Judge Business School' of the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, later this month.

"Delighted to welcome back Rahul Gandhi to Cambridge University later this month. He will lecture on @CambridgeMBA and hold closed-door sessions on Big Data and Democracy and India-China relations, with Shruti Kapila..." Rahul Gandhi said on Twitter.

To be sure Shruthi Kapila is the same person who had urged Rahul Gandhi to have scripted interviews for high-impact messaging.

"Looking forward to visiting my alma mater Cambridge University and delivering a lecture at CambridgeJBS," Rahul Gandhi said on Twitter.

"Happy to engage with some of the brightest minds in various domains, including geopolitics, international relations, big data and democracy," he also wrote.

Rahul Gandhi will hold close-door meetings about Indo-China relations. In this context one must recall that the Congress party had in 2008 signed an MoU with the Communist Party of China to exchange high-level information.

Reports say that the Open Society Foundation of the Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros is a member of the University of Cambridges's Guild of Benefactors since the year 2013.

The foundation according to reports provides post-graduate scholarships in programs that represent a long-term response to the ongoing social and political transformations in the countries served.

The meeting of Rahul Gandhi comes at a time when Soros had tarted India and the alleged collusion by the Narendra Modi government and Adani Group. The Adani Group issue is also being played up by the Congress and other opposition parties. Soros is said to have many intellectuals own his payroll. In 2018, the Soros funded NGO, Sherpa had attempted to thwart India's defence deal with France. The aim allegedly was to stall the Rafale deal.

Further more the Open Society Foundations run by Soros had funded the Socio-Legal Information Centre, which has been campaigning against the sedition law which has been used against anti-India elements.

It was in 1999 that the Open Society Foundation began its activities in India by providing scholarships and fellowships to pursue studies and research at Indian colleges. Soros has through these programmes made significant contributions at de-stabilising India.
