Rahul Gandhi Shares Video Of Trying Hands At Painting, Pottery; Nephew Raihan Vadra Makes Debut | WATCH
Rahul Gandhi and his nephew, Raihan Vadra, celebrated Diwali by joining local artisans in the capital for a painting and pottery lesson.
In a touching video shared on his YouTube channel, Rahul Gandhi expressed his desire to understand the "challenges" of artisans' work. Sharing the clip on X, he wrote, "A Diwali with those whose hard work brightens India!"

While working with the potters, Rahul joked with them, acknowledging his struggle to shape the clay. "This thing can be competing with any top ceramic anywhere," he remarked as Raihan held up a hand-made diya. Potter Ramrati, wiping clay from Rahul's hand, fondly said, "He is like my son."

The pair also took part in a painting session with artists at Janpath. In one reflective moment in the video, Rahul shared a memory about the death of his father, Rajiv Gandhi.
As he scraped the ceiling of his house with Raihan, he commented, "My father died here, so I am not a big fan of this house."
Discussing the difficulties faced by skilled workers, Rahul said, "According to our economists, bureaucrats, this is not talent; this is something else."
He further added, "We have to create a system in which people's skills are valued and their contributions respected, so everyone's Diwali can be a happy one. I hope this Diwali brings prosperity, progress, and love into everyone's lives."
Since his Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai, Rahul has connected with people from diverse backgrounds, including mechanics, cobblers, labourers, and bus drivers, sharing these encounters on his YouTube channel.
