Rahul Gandhi Alleges Vote Chori in Bihar Elections, Blames Election Officials for Democracy's Erosion

He believes those tasked with safeguarding voting rights are now complicit in depriving people of their future.

Gandhi's comments follow Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's allegations against the NDA. She claims they plan to manipulate the Bihar assembly elections, similar to what she alleges happened in Haryana. Speaking at rallies in Sitamarhi, East Champaran, and Madhubani, she accused the Election Commission of working with the government to erode democratic rights.

Allegations of Electoral Manipulation

Rahul Gandhi highlighted issues with voter lists during a Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar. He pointed out widespread manipulation through SIR. He stated that recent reports and videos from Bihar further support claims of electoral fraud. According to him, many voters have been removed from lists, and people are being blocked from voting at polling stations.

In a Hindi post on X, Gandhi addressed young Indians, saying he had shown evidence of how the Haryana government was allegedly stolen through vote manipulation. He warned that governments formed through such means do not serve the interests of youth and the general public.

Concerns Over Voter List Integrity

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra alleged that 65 lakh votes were deleted from Bihar's electoral rolls. She drew parallels with Haryana, where she claimed an entire election was stolen. Rahul Gandhi had previously alleged that 25 lakh fake entries were found in Haryana's electoral list, accusing the EC of colluding with the BJP to secure their win.

The first phase of Bihar Assembly polls took place recently, with the second phase scheduled for November 11. The counting for the 243-member Assembly is set for November 14. These developments come amid ongoing concerns about electoral integrity and fairness.

Gandhi named Gyanesh Kumar, Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, and Vivek Joshi as key figures responsible for undermining democracy. Despite holding top positions in the Election Commission, he accused them of betraying constitutional values. His remarks aim to highlight perceived injustices in the electoral process.
