Raghu Ram Rajan Calls Rahul Gandhi A Brave, Intelligent Leader; Is He Planning To Join Congress? Read Here
Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghu Ram Rajan recently lauded former Congress chief and MP Rahul Gandhi for his continuous efforts to power the grand old party. In an interview with The Print's Vir Sanghvi, Raghu Ram Rajan said "Rahul Gandhi is a very reasonable leader, smart, intelligent and brave, contrary to what has been wrongly portrayed"
"I think that's such a wrong portrayal in the sense that you know he's smart, intelligent, and also brave. I think what people discount - which they should not - is this is a family which has seen the grandmother assassinated, the father blown up," he said.

When asked about any plans of entering politics and joining Congress, former RBI chief said his family does not want him to enter politics, underlining that he would rather like to help in his area (finances) than joining politics.
Junking the speculation of him joining Congress, he said, "I have said repeatedly and people still don't believe me. I am an academic, my business is not kissing babies. I have a family and a wife, who doesn't want me to enter politics for a good reason. So rather than enter politics what I would like to do is help guide where I can," Raghu Ram Rajan said.
x"I feel government policies are going off track regardless of whether I'm government or not - I talk about it," he further said in reply to the question that he has been vocal against Modi government's some policies.
