Raghav Chadha In Trouble As Rajya Sabha Can Recommend FIR Against Him
Regarding the controversy surrounding a motion presented by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha in the Rajya Sabha, it has been noted that if the Members of Parliament's signatures on the proposal are found to be forged, the Chairman has the authority to suggest initiating a First Information Report (FIR).
This scenario could arise if it's found out that the signatures endorsing Chadha's proposal to refer the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023, to the Select Committee are fraudulent.

Several MPs, including BJD's Sasmit Patra and AIADMK's M Thambidurai, have raised concerns that their names were included in the proposed select committee for the Delhi Services Bill without their consent.
In response, Union Home Minister Amit Shah characterized the unauthorized inclusion of their names as a "fraud" against Parliament and called for an investigation.
The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023, received approval from the Lok Sabha on Thursday amidst opposition party walkouts.
This bill is set to replace a Center-promulgated ordinance that governs the transfers and postings of officials within the Delhi government.
