Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Prioritises Railway Expansion to Enhance Connectivity and Support Local Industries

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is prioritising railway expansion to improve public connectivity and support local industries. The initiative aims to enhance employment opportunities and facilitate better transport for farmers and businesses.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasised the importance of expanding railway facilities in the state. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity for residents and boost local industries and employment opportunities. Sharma reviewed the Ratlam-Dungarpur via Banswara railway project and a proposed rail terminal at Bharatpur by the Central Warehousing Corporation.

Sharma stressed that a robust rail network would ease public travel and support local industries. "Our government is prioritising the expansion of railway facilities in the state. A strong rail network will provide ease of travel for the public and also benefit local employment and industries," he stated, according to an official release.

Railway Projects and Coordination

The chief minister instructed officials to work closely with railway authorities to ensure timely implementation of these projects. He highlighted the need for coordination with the Centre on financial and technical aspects to expedite the process. Sharma also discussed with North Western Railway officials about the status of the Ratlam-Dungarpur via Banswara project.

Regarding the proposed Bharatpur rail terminal, Sharma noted its potential benefits for farmers, industrial units, and society at large. He urged officials to conduct a joint inspection to find a suitable location for this terminal. The construction of this terminal is expected to enhance transport facilities significantly.

Land Acquisition and Project Implementation

Sharma directed officials to complete land acquisition swiftly through mutual coordination. He emphasised that this step is crucial for advancing the Ratlam-Dungarpur via Banswara project. The chief minister's focus remains on ensuring these projects are executed efficiently to benefit various sectors in Rajasthan.

The government is committed to improving infrastructure, which will facilitate better connectivity and economic growth in the region. By prioritising these railway projects, Rajasthan aims to create more job opportunities and support local businesses.
