Prior to Rahul Gandhi's visit, stampede victims given beds, blankets

Patients provided with beds, new blanket
Gwalior, Oct 17: This is one of the most common scenes before any VIP visit. Just hours before Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was to visit the stampede victims in the hospital, many patients were given beds to rest.

Just few hours prior the meeting, victims in the hospital who were lying on the floor were given beds. According to a report carried out on NDTV, the hospital underwent an extreme makeover, where patients were given beds.

The patients were earlier told by the hospital authorities that there were no sufficient beds. So the patients took up whatever space was there on the floor. But on Thursday afternoon special arrangements were made and beds were available.

Hospital staff were busy cleaning the place before Rahul's visit

Some of the patients alleged that the hospital staff was busy since morning trying to tidy the place. New sheets and blankets were provided in the wards.

Among the victims most were women and children who were injured in the Sunday's stampede at the Durga temple of Ratnagarh. The stampede took place on the last day of the Navratris, that was triggered by a rumour that a bridge had collapsed.
