Uttar Pradesh Officials Review Preparations for Prime Minister Modi's Visit to Kanpur on May 30
Preparations are underway in Kanpur for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on May 30. Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police Prashant Kumar inspected the Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural University. They reviewed routes, the helipad, event venue, and parking areas to ensure everything is ready.

A high-level meeting took place at the HBTU auditorium. It was attended by ADG Kanpur Zone Alok Singh and other senior officials. The chief secretary instructed them to complete all preparations on time. He highlighted the need for drinking water, mobile toilets, medical aid, and other essential services for attendees due to the summer heat.
Security and Traffic Management
The DGP stressed strict adherence to security protocols. He urged officials to coordinate closely with the Special Protection Group (SPG) and National Security Guard (NSG). Parking locations should be chosen to minimise walking distances for attendees. Senior police officials are responsible for ensuring smooth traffic flow and efficient parking arrangements.
A special citywide cleaning drive has been initiated ahead of the prime minister's visit. This effort aims to present a clean and welcoming environment for the event. Senior district officials, including Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar, District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh, and Chief Development Officer Deeksha Jain, participated in the inspection and meeting.
The chief secretary emphasised the importance of providing necessary amenities like drinking water and medical assistance. These measures are crucial given the peak summer conditions expected during the event. Ensuring these facilities will help accommodate attendees comfortably.
In preparation for the visit, officials are working diligently to meet all requirements. The focus remains on security, logistics, and attendee comfort. The collaborative efforts of various departments aim to ensure a successful event without any hitches.
