Ottawa, Feb 26: Dylan Benson, the much talked about to-be father in Canada is happy and sad at the same time. Robyn Benson, pregnant and brain dead, was taken off life support after giving birth to a baby boy through a caesarian section.

Named Iver Benson, the boy was prematurely born on Saturday, but is in good health. His mother had spent the last five weeks before his birth in coma after suffering a cerebral haemorrhage.

Remember his beloved wife [see what happened to her] and celebrating the birth of his son, Dylan wrote in his blog:

"Iver is healthy and is the cutest and most precious person I have ever met. As to be expected, it will still be a bumpy ride for both of us as he continues to grow under the care of the wonderful staff at the hospital. On Sunday, we had to unfortunately say goodbye to the strongest and most wonderful woman I have ever met. I miss Robyn more than words can explain. I could not be more impressed with her strength, and I am so lucky to have known her. She will live on for ever within Iver, and in my heart."

However, right now Dylan has greater challenges ahead-to be a single father and grow his son. HE has set up an online donation fund for his son in the hope of raising €24,000 so that he could take leave from work and look after his son.

Thanking people for their incredible support, he wrote,"Thank you to each and every one of you for your love, your kind words, and your support during this incredibly difficult time. The shares of this page and the thousands of comments that I have received have helped so much. I truly appreciate the love and support from all over the world."
