Pregnant woman delivers baby on road after hospital refuses admission in Jaipur

A pregnant woman in Jaipur, Rajasthan, was forced to deliver her child on road after authorities in a hospital refused to give her admission.

Jaipur, July 29: One more horrible case of apathy towards a pregnant woman by hospital authorities in Jaipur, Rajasthan, has come to light.

The woman, who was in labour pain, has been forced to deliver her baby right in front of a road of Jaipuria hospital in the capital city.

As per reports, the woman, who went to the hospital for delivery, was refused to be admitted by hospital authorities on Friday.

The persons manning the labour room in the hospital told the woman and her relatives to come the next day. In spite of several requests, nobody in the hospital took care of the expecting mother.

The woman, who was in excruciating pain, ended up giving birth to her child on the road. After witnessing the scene, visitors and patients in the hospital protested.

Thereafter, police came to the hospital to quell the protest.

This is not for the first time when the hospital has been accused of denying admission to pregnant woman. Previously too similar incidents were reported from the hospital, said a report by Rajasthan Patrika.

After the incident, authorities at the hospital refused to speak to the media.
