Prashant Kishor Demands Resolution from Bihar Government on PSC Exam Leak Within Three Days

Prashant Kishor, a political strategist turned activist, has given the Bihar government three days to address issues related to a recent Public Service Commission exam. The state has seen widespread protests by civil service aspirants over alleged question paper leaks. The police have faced criticism for using force against these protesters.

Kishor Gives Bihar Government Three-Day Ultimatum

Kishor's Jan Suraaj party had previously urged Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena to cancel the exam conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission on December 13. He warned of further protests if police use force on job seekers again. Kishor visited Gardani Bagh, where aspirants have been protesting for several days, demanding the exam's cancellation.

Protesters Demand Action

The demonstrators are calling for a re-examination due to alleged irregularities, including paper leaks. Kishor stated, "The government must meet protesting students or their representatives and consider their demand for re-examination. I am giving an ultimatum to the state government. The administration must resolve this issue within three days."

He expressed his support for the protesters and announced plans to join their march on Monday. "I am always here to support the students. I will also join protest march of the students tomorrow. I will be at the forefront. If the police resort to baton-charge, I will be the first to face that," he declared while addressing the aspirants.

Condemnation of Police Actions

On Wednesday, chaos erupted outside the BPSC office when police used batons on protesters demanding the cancellation of the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination 2024. The confrontation occurred after a group of protesters marched towards the BPSC office and were stopped by police personnel.

Lalu Prasad, RJD supremo, also criticised the police's actions against the job aspirants. "Police action against protesting students was wrong. Police should not have done this," Lalu told reporters in Patna on Thursday.

The situation remains tense as Kishor and others continue to support the demands of civil service aspirants for justice and transparency in examination processes.
