Pragya Thakur Makes Bhopal Girl Watch ‘The Kerala Story’, She Elopes With Muslim Days Later

Days after a woman watched the controversial movie 'The Kerala Story' with BJP leader Pragya Singh Thakur in Madhya Pradesh, she reportedly eloped with her Muslim boyfriend. The incident is reported from Bhopal.

In an attempt to persuade the 20-year-old girl to break up with her Muslim boyfriend Yusuf Khan, Pragya Singh Thakur made the girl watch 'The Kerala Story'. For the uninitiated, the film deals with how Hindu women are trapped by radical Muslims, converted to Islam and then sent to Arab countries as sex slaves.

Unfortunately, the movie seems like had little impact on the girl as she eloped with her boyfriend.

Her parents then filed a complaint alleging that she stole Rs 70,000 and jewellery with her while blaming the boy for trapping her with "sweet talks" to elope with him. The money and jewellery were meant for her marriage.

However, the girl has released a video where she claimed that she escaped from her home of her own will.

The girl had gone missing on May 11 after which the family had sought Thakur's help. Once she was traced and brought back, the BJP leader then made her watch 'The Kerala Story' along with other girls. She escaped again from her house on May 15.

The 20-year-old girl, who is studying nursing, got to know about Yusuf through his sister.

A school dropout, Yusuf reportedly has a history sheet and is accused of crimes such as assault, theft, and arson.

Yusuf's sister has claimed that he has tried to break up the relationship but succumbed to the pressure exerted by the 20-year-old girl.
