Post demonetisation, prostitution has reduced drastically says Law Minister

On the first anniversary of demonetisation, it is claimed that prostitution has come down following the decision taken on November 8 2016.
Flesh trade has nosedived in India, Law Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters. The BJP is marking November 8 as 'Anti Black Money Day.'

Prasad said that both prostitution and human trafficking had reduced after the decision on demonetisation was made, a PTI report claimed.
"Trafficking of women and girls has gone down considerably. A huge amount of cash used to flow to Nepal and Bangladesh...Notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 were used to make payments in the flesh trade, which has now come down," He also said.
