Preliminary investigations have revealed that the Naxals used bomb that weighed 50 kilograms to blow up the police vehicle. The explosion was so powerful in nature that trees were uprooted and a massive hole was left on the road.
Reports also said that the Dantewada attack was well prepared and they have closely studied the movements of the security team and executed the plan with local intelligence network.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid homage to the personnel who died in the Naxal attack lent his shoulder to carry a coffin carrying the mortal remains ofthe jawans.
This was the biggest strike by Naxalites on security forces in the state since 2017. 17 security personnel of the Chhattisgarh police, including 12 from the District Reserve Guards and five others from the STF, killed in a similar ambush in Sukma.
