PM's education qualification row: Why is it so secretive Modi Ji? asks Cong

Congress is still keen to know why Prime minister Narendra Modi is so secretive about his education background.

New Delhi: The Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday reopened the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's education qualification and asked why he is so secretive about his qualification. The attack came after Assam court issued the bailable warrant against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his tweets on Narendra Modi;s educational background.

Singh on Tuesday took to his Twitter handle and asked if it's a crime for asking about the educational background of the prime minister. Singh further said that it was proof that the former has lied to the nation about his education.

Last year, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that "Modiji 12 pass hain, Uske baad ki degree farzi hai". (Modi has passed 12th class and his degree after that are fake).

Assam BJP leader Surya Rongphar filed a defamation case against Kejriwal and said that his comments were misleading.

The Centre also released copies of Modi's bachelor's and master's degree certificates from Delhi University and Gujarat University. The Aad Aadmi Party, in response, alleged that the certificates released by the government are forged and contained 'glaring discrepancies' in name and the year.
