According to the reports, the incident of stone pelting took place on Saturday late evening when CM Reddy was campaigning in Vijayawada.

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin also condemned the attack stating he condemns the stone-pelting, adding that political differences should never escalate to violence.
"Let's uphold civility and mutual respect as we engage in the democratic process. Wishing him (Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy) a quick recovery," MK Stalin said in a post on X.
The reports said CM Reddy received a minor injury on his forehead above the left eye. Along with Chief Minister, YSRCP MLA Vellampalli also got injured in the stone attack.

The statement also said that CM received a minor injury near his eye and is safe now.
A video of the incident is also doing round the internet that shows, YSRCP leaders standing next to CM Reddy on the bus wiping blood from CM's forehead with a handkerchief.
Immediately, the media team traveling with CM's bus gave him first aid, after which, CM continued his roadshow and meeting people.
YSRCP leader Hafeez Khan alleged that the cowardly attack on CM was done by TDP workers, who were hiding in public, as they know that YSRCP is receiving a great response from the people of the state and is all set to register a thumping victory again in the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections 2024.
