PM Narendra Modi extends wishes on foundation day of Gujarat, Maharashtra

New Delhi, May 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the people of Gujarat and Maharashtra on the foundation day of the two western states.

"Greetings to the people of Gujarat on the foundation day of the State," he tweeted.

Extending his greetings to the people of Maharashtra, the Prime Minister said in a message, "Maharashtra is a land that has contributed immensely to the development of the nation.

"It is a land of thinkers, saints and it is the land of the brave and the courageous.The hardworking nature of the people of Maharashtra has always been well-known.

My best wishes for the development journey of Maharashtra," he said.
