PM Modi's Speech - Highlights

  • Sports also hold importance for development, and I am glad that today, if children take an interest in sports, parents are filled with pride. I consider this a very auspicious sign for the future of the country. To promote sports, we have introduced the Khelo India policy in the country after many decades. So that efforts can be made for the all-round development of the sports world. From school to the Olympics, we want to develop a complete ecosystem,
  • Areas earlier known as 'red corridors' of Naxalism have now become green corridors of development
  • RSS is the biggest NGO in the world. India is proud of RSS' journey.
  • We celebrate our diversity, it is our heritage. We witnessed this beautifully during the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, where the spirit of unity in diversity truly comes alive. India is rich in linguistic diversity, and to honor that, we have granted classical language status to Marathi, Assamese, Bangla, Pali, and Prakrit
  • Today India is number one in the world in production of milk, pulses, jute. India is also the second-biggest fish producer. India is also the second-biggest producer of rice, wheat, fruits, vegetables. Export of agro-products worth 4 lakh crore has happened. Many schemes are there to support them. Farmers are becoming courageous with insurance.
  • We aim to bring the development in eastern India at par with the development in rest of India... We approved thousands of crores for infra projects there
  • Over the past decade, India has been reforming, performing, and transforming. But now, we need to move forward with even greater strength. In recent years, we have implemented several reforms including FDI, insurance sector, or allowing world-class universities to operate in India.
  • PM Modi announces Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana; those getting first job in private sector will get Rs 15,000 from govt.
  • Need of hour to take a resolve for building a 'samarth' (strong) Bharat, just like our freedom fighters had envisioned 'free India': PM Modi. In Independence Day speech, PM Modi promises big Diwali gift in form of next-generation GST reforms.
  • If we could get independence from sacrifices of people, then with the commitment, vocal for local, we can get prosperous India. This generation should aim for prosperous India. I want to ask all the influencers, all political parties to help me in taking this forward, this is not an agenda of a particular party, India is everyone's, we should together make the mantra of vocal for local everyone's. We should focus on indigenous products. We should only buy indigenous products.

In Independence Day speech, PM Modi calls for development of indigenous jet engines for 'Made in India' fighter jets. PM Modi calls upon youths to develop India's own social media and digital platforms.

    • Today, India is building a modern ecosystem across every sector. I appeal to the youth and to every department of the government: we must strive to produce Made-in-India jet engines for our fighter aircraft. We are known as the pharmacy of the world, but isn't it the need of the hour to invest more in research and development? Shouldn't we be the ones providing the best and most affordable medicines for the welfare of humanity?
    • We know that we remain dependent on many countries to meet our energy needs. But to build a truly self-reliant India, we must achieve energy independence. In the last 11 years, our solar energy capacity has increased by 30 times.
We are constructing new dams, and India is now focusing actively on nuclear energy. We have taken significant steps in this direction, with 10 new nuclear reactors currently operational. By the time India celebrates 100 years of independence, we aim to increase our nuclear energy capacity tenfold.
    • Our enemies had no idea about the capability of 'Made in India', which weapons are simple and which are powerful enough to destroy them in a moment. Just think, if we were not self-reliant, would we have been able to carry out Operation Sindoor with such speed?
    • Slavery made us poor. It made us dependent, and over time, our dependence on others only grew. But our farmers led us toward self-reliance and ensured our food security. Even today, a nation's true pride lies in self-reliance, and that is the foundation of Viksit Bharat.
Dependence on others raises questions about a nation's independence. It is unfortunate when dependence becomes a habit, a dangerous one. That's why we must remain aware and committed to becoming self-reliant. Self-reliance is not just about exports, imports, the rupee, or the dollar. It is about our capabilities, our strength to stand on our own.
    • India has now decided, blood and water will not flow together. The people have come to realize that the Indus Waters Treaty is unjust. Water from the Indus River system has been irrigating the lands of the enemy, while our own farmers have suffered. What kind of agreement is this that has caused such immense loss to our farmers for the past seven decades?
    • In the past few days, we have been facing natural disasters, landslides, cloudbursts, and many other calamities. Our sympathies are with the affected people. State governments and the central government are working together with full strength on rescue operations, relief efforts, and rehabilitation work. Today, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, I have the opportunity to salute the brave soldiers of Operation Sindoor."
    • Today, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, I pay my respectful homage to the makers of the Constitution, who guide the country and give direction to the country. Today we are also celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee. Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee was the first great man of the country to sacrifice for the Constitution of India. Sacrifice for the Constitution. When we brought the mantra of one country, one constitution to life by demolishing the wall of Article 370, we paid true tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee.
Many special dignitaries are present at the Red Fort today. There are members of Panchayats from far-flung villages, representatives of Drone Didi, representatives of Lakhpati Didi, people from the world of sports, great people who have given something or the other to the nation and life are present here. In a way, I am seeing a miniature India here in front of my eyes. And today, the Red Fort is also connected with India through technology."
    • When India became Independent in 1947, there were immense possibilities, and challenges too were big: PM Modi.
    • India bows to makers of Constitution on 79th Independence Day: PM Modi in his address to nation from ramparts of Red Fort.
