PM Modi Speaks With Ex Jharkhand CM Champai Soren, Takes Account Of His Health
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday dialed former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, who recently joined BJP, to inquire about his health. Champai Soren was hospitalised due to blood sugar issues. He was admitted to Jamshedpur's Tata Main Hospital on Saturday night after experiencing dizziness.
Expressing gratitude for the Prime Minister's concern, Soren said he is feeling much better now. In a tweet earlier today, he stated, "With the grace of God and ancestors, the tireless efforts of doctors and the prayers and blessings of all of you, I have been discharged from the hospital. Thank you all for the well wishes!"

Support from Political Leaders
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and leaders from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) also conveyed their best wishes for Champai Soren's recovery. The Chief Minister posted on X, "I pray to Marang Buru (supreme tribal deity) to give Champai Da a speedy recovery. I also wish him a long life." The JMM added, "We pray to Marang Buru that you come back to the field after getting well. Dada, do not let any worries trouble you."
Champai Soren's political journey has seen significant changes recently. He became Jharkhand's chief minister on February 2 after Hemant Soren resigned following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case. However, Champai stepped down in July when Hemant resumed office upon his release on bail.
Political Shift
On August 30, Champai Soren joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He made this move in the presence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi. His departure from JMM was attributed to dissatisfaction with its current policies and functioning style.
Soren also resigned as an MLA and a minister in Jharkhand's Cabinet. His decision marked a significant shift in his political career after years of service with JMM.
The recent developments highlight Champai Soren's health challenges alongside his evolving political affiliations. As he recovers, support from various leaders underscores his influence within Jharkhand's political landscape.
