Prime Minister Modi received the special gift from the President of the Energy Company YPF, Pablo Gonzalez, on the sidelines of the ongoing India Energy Week in Bengaluru.

New Delhi, Feb 06: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a special gift on the sidelines of the ongoing India Energy Week in Bengaluru. The President Argentina's state-owned energy company YPF Pablo Gonzalez presented PM Modi with a Lionel Messi Argentina jersey, with which he posed for photographs.

"This will be remembered as one of the most thrilling Football matches! Congrats to Argentina on becoming #FIFAWorldCup Champions! They've played brilliantly through the tournament. Millions of Indian fans of Argentina and Messi rejoice in the magnificent victory! @alferdez,'' PM Modi wrote.

Lionel Messi, one of the greatest footballers of all time, had helped Argentina win their third World Cup title, and the first since 1986, at the Qatar 2022. He was crowned the tournament's best player and is generally regarded as one of football's greatest exponents. His iconic No. 10 jersey has become synonymous with excellence and his name is synonymous with the sport of football. The No. 10 on the back of the jersey is a testament to Messi's talent and his status as one of the greatest players to have ever played the game.

At the event, PM Modi said,'' We have reduced the 'No-Go' areas. Due to this, 10 lakh square kilometre area has been freed from the restrictions of No-Go. I would urge all the investors to make use of these opportunities, and increase your presence in the exploration of fossil fuels.''

Referring to the recently released IMF projections of India being the fastest-growing major economy, PM Modi further added that India has continued to be the global bright spot in the world stricken with the pandemic and the era of war in 2022. He credited the internal resilience of India that enabled the nation to overcome any obstacle irrespective of external factors.
