PM Modi Offers Prayers at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Engages Supporters in City Roadshow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Varanasi unfolded as a mix of spiritual devotion and strong public engagement, highlighting the deep bond he shares with his parliamentary constituency.

The visit began with prayers at the revered Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, where the Prime Minister offered prayers to Lord Shiva. The sounds of conch shells, drums, and traditional instruments, created a deep spiritual atmosphere during the pooja.

As he stepped out into the city, the energy shifted dramatically. Large crowds had gathered across key locations, especially around Lahurabir, waiting for hours to see him. As his convoy passed, the streets echoed with chants of "Har Har Mahadev" and "Jai Shri Ram." Supporters waved enthusiastically, while Modi greeted them with folded hands and smiles, turning his movement through the city into a vibrant roadshow.

The visit also underscored a major focus on development. The Prime Minister is set to inaugurate the 594-kilometre-long Ganga Expressway, connecting Meerut to Prayagraj.

The high-speed corridor is expected to significantly improve connectivity and boost economic activity across Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, Modi attended a Mahila Sammelan at the Banaras Locomotive Works ground, where a large number of women participated. He also launched and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects during his visit.

Overall, the Varanasi visit once again reflected a blend of faith, public enthusiasm, and a continued push for infrastructure and growth in the region.
