PM Modi, Indian Army Wish Neeraj Chopra As He Bags Gold In Javelin
Wishes poured in for Neeraj Chopra, India's standout javelin thrower, following his remarkable capture of the gold medal in the Men's Javelin Throw Final at the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary this past Sunday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to extend his heartfelt wishes to Chopra for his exceptional accomplishment.

"The talented @Neeraj_chopra1 exemplifies excellence. His dedication, precision and passion make him not just a champion in athletics but a symbol of unparalleled excellence in the entire sports world. Congrats to him for winning the Gold at the World Athletics Championships," PM Modi wrote on X.
Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur congratulated Neeraj Chopra for winning the gold medal at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. "The golden boy of Indian athletics wins the men's javelin throw at World Athletics Championships. The entire nation is proud of your achievements and this moment will be remembered forever in Indian sporting history." tweeted Anurag Thakur.
The Indian Army took to Twitter (now known as X) to congratulate Neeraj Chopra on bagging the gold medal. "#NeerajChopra makes us #Proud again!! #IndianArmy congratulates Subedar Neeraj Chopra on bagging #GoldMedal🥇 in Men's #Javelin at World Athletics Championship 2023 in Budapest with a throw of 88.17 meters," the Army wrote on X.
Neeraj Chopra's father Satish Kumar said that the celebrations will take place after he returns to India. "This is a golden moment for our family, our village and the entire country. His golden medal is a joyous moment for the country...," Satish Kumar told ANI.
