PM Modi’s Independence Day Gift: 75,000 New Medical Seats For Indian Students
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the government's plan to create 75,000 new medical seats across India within the next five years. Speaking during his 11th Independence Day address from the Red Fort, PM Modi emphasised the importance of providing quality education within the country, noting the significant increase in medical seats over the past decade.
In his speech, which marked the 78th Independence Day, PM Modi acknowledged that over 25,000 Indian students currently go abroad each year to pursue medical education. He expressed the government's commitment to expanding opportunities at home, stating that the creation of new seats would make medical education more accessible to Indian students.

"In the past decade, we have increased medical seats to nearly one lakh. Today, around 25,000 youths go abroad every year for medical education. Therefore, we have decided that in the next five years, 75,000 new seats will be created in the medical field," said PM Modi.
