PM Modi in Bengal: With Lok Sabha Elections 2024 around the corner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving no stone unturned to woo voters to elect BJP for the third time and achieve the target of 400 plus seats. On Sunday, PM Modi addressed a sea of supporters in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri and launched a scathing attack at West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee.

In his speech, PM Modi talked about the atrocities that happened on the women of Sandeshkhali, in which, a TMC leader Shiekh Shajahan was arrested. PM Modi accused the West Bengal government of protecting the accused of Sandeshkhali, who was on the run for almost a month.

"The country knows about the atrocities inflicted on mothers and sisters (in Sandeshkhali). The country saw it. The court itself has to intervene in everything here. The TMC syndicate rules here," PM Modi said.

Attacking the state's TMC government, PM Modi said the people of West Bengal are fully aware that the TMC, Left, and Congress have allied to shield their corrupt.

PM Modi also reiterated social schemes that his government has launched for women and people below the poverty line. The PM added his government restored the self-respect and dignity of the poor. He wooed the voters stating that development work done in the last 10 years was only a trailer and the entire film is yet to be released. He and his party are working hard day and night to take the country ahead. Soon India will become the world's third-largest economic power, PM Modi said.
