PM Modi hails Team India for WB ranking in ease of doing business
Describing World Bank's latest annual 'ease of doing business' report as historic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is the outcome of the all-round and multi-sectoral reform push of Team India.
In a series of tweet, PM Modi explained how Team India achieved this meteoric rise in rankings and outlined the way forward.
He said, " Historic jump in 'Ease of Doing Business' rankings is the outcome of the all-round & multi-sectoral reform push of Team India. Easier business environment is leading to historic opportunities for our entrepreneurs, particularly MSME sector & bringing more prosperity. " PM Modi further commented.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated, "The Government has undertaken an extensive exercise of stakeholder consultations, identification of user needs, government process re-engineering to match government rules and procedures with user expectations and streamline them to create a more conducive business environment.
Modi said that over last three years, his government has seen a spirit of positive competition among states towards making business easier which has been beneficial.
Outlining the path forward, PM said, " Guided by the Mantra of 'Reform, Perform & Transform' we are determined to further improve our rankings & scale greater economic growth."
India jumped 30 spots to secure a place among the top-100 countries on World Bank's ease of doing business ranking list in 2018.
