Pilot to Hold Crucial Meeting with Congress Leadership Amidst Political Tussle With Gehlot

In a bid to mend the internal rift within the Rajasthan Congress, senior party leader Sachin Pilot is scheduled to meet with top party officials, including former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, on June 9. The meetings come as the party attempts to mitigate the damage caused by the ongoing feud between Pilot and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Notably, Chief Minister Gehlot is also currently in Delhi.

Pilot, a vocal critic of the Gehlot government, has been raising concerns over the administration's alleged failure to address corruption cases that occurred during the previous BJP government led by Vasundhara Raje. The tensions between Pilot and Gehlot have fueled speculations of Pilot's potential departure from the Congress, with rumors of him forming his own political party.

According to reports, Pilot is planning a massive rally on June 11, coinciding with the 23rd death anniversary of his late father and Congress leader, Rajesh Pilot. It is expected that during the rally, Pilot will announce the formation of his new political outfit.

However, putting an end to all the speculations, Congress General Secretary Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, said that Sachin Pilot is committed to the Congress and has no intentions of establishing a separate party. Randhawa emphasized that both Pilot and Gehlot are working together to ensure the victory of the Congress in the upcoming state Assembly elections, scheduled for 2023. He further revealed that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi have recently held discussions with both leaders from Rajasthan.

The meetings between Sachin Pilot and the senior Congress leadership hold immense significance as the party aims to resolve the internal turmoil in Rajasthan and strengthen unity ahead of the crucial elections. The outcomes of these discussions are anticipated to shape the future course of politics in the state and could have far-reaching implications for the Congress party as a whole.
