Pics: Kejriwal seeks legislators' unity for a better Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 8: It was not a common visit to the gurudwara Bangla Sahib, but one that meant well for Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was seen coming out after paying obeisance on the occasion of the 348th birth anniversary of the 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh. On asking him, what he prayed for, pat came the answer-welfare for Delhi.

It is on this occasion that the Delhi Chief Minister urged that all legislators should step outside their parties and join hands in developing the capital city.

Responding to the motion of thanks to the Lt. Governor's in the assembly, Arvind Kejriwal said,"Only 28 MLAs of our party cannot improve Delhi. All 70 MLAs will have to come together and join hands to make Delhi a better city. We cannot achieve Swaraj (self rule) without a dialogue among the members of the house."

Confessing that his party is new to politics, he sought the support of all the parties in helping them make Delhi a better place.

He said,"We have got some good suggestions and solutions to various problems from the discussion in the house. I have taken note of everything. The suggestions are really constructive. I would request you to keep scolding us and never let us sleep or falter."
