Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency of Bihar is considered the stronghold of Bharatiya Janata Party and since its coming into existence, BJP candidates have been winning here continuously. In 2009 and 2014, BJP candidate Shatrughan Sinha was elected from this seat, while in 2019 Ravi Shankar Prasad won.
