Patna blasts: NIA declares Rs 35 lakh bounty for info on IM terrorists

Patna, Nov 18: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), who is investigating the Patna blasts case, on Sunday announced cash reward of Rs 35 lakh on Indian Mujahideen's (IM) five absconding terror suspects.

The NIA also released pictures and important details of five men, who hail from Jharkhand and are also believed to be behind Bodh Gaya blasts.

Tahseen Akhtar alias Monu was the mastermind behind Oct 27 Patna blasts.

According to reports, the NIA has announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh each on any information regarding key suspects Tahseen Akhtar alias Monu and Haider Ali alias Abdullah.

While other three suspects identified as Numan Ansari, Taufeeq Ansari and Mojibullah carry the cash reward of Rs five lakh each on their heads.

Sources said that Tahseen Akhtar alias Monu, a resident of Bihar, was the mastermind behind October 27 Patna blasts that were planned on the day of BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi's Hunkaar rally.

The serial blasts near Gandhi Maidan in Patna, the venue of rally, left six dead and over fifty injured.
