Parents Demand Action as FIITJEE Centres Close Abruptly in Noida and Ghaziabad

The sudden closure of FIITJEE centres in Noida and Ghaziabad has left parents outraged. They gathered at the institute's Noida Sector 62 branch, voicing their anger and calling for government intervention. The Noida Police reported that FIITJEE's founder, DK Goyal, along with 11 others, have been charged following the unexpected shutdown of several centres in the Delhi-NCR region.

Parents Protest FIITJEE Centre Closures

Parents are demanding action and refunds. Mrinal, whose daughter is in class 11, expressed his distress after paying over Rs 3 lakh for her March session fees. He stated, "I demand strict action should be taken and a refund of the amount of parents should be given to parents." Alok, another parent, is worried about his class 10 son's future after paying for an entire session.

Parents Demand Refunds and Accountability

Alok shared his concerns about his son's upcoming Board exam amidst this chaos. "My son has a Board exam, but now this situation has come up. I have paid the entire fees for the course. They are spoiling the next generation's future," he said. Parents are considering legal action to secure their children's education and financial investment.

Avijit, another affected parent, had paid Rs 1.5 lakh in advance for the July session. He expressed his frustration over the lack of communication from FIITJEE regarding the closure. "They took fees in advance and now they have closed the institute," he noted. The abrupt shutdown has left around 1,500 students and their families in shock.

FIITJEE's Nationwide Presence

FIITJEE operates 73 centres across India, offering coaching for engineering entrance exams. According to Satsang Kumar from Greater Noida, the Sector 62 centre was operational until January 21 but closed unexpectedly an hour early. It was later discovered that the centre had shut down completely, affecting over 2,000 students.

In Delhi, police have initiated an investigation after more than 250 people accused FIITJEE's East Delhi centre of fraud and mismanagement following its sudden closure. The situation has raised concerns about the future of students enrolled in these coaching programmes.

The ongoing investigation aims to address these allegations and provide clarity to affected families. As parents seek answers and accountability, the focus remains on ensuring students' educational continuity and safeguarding their investments in these coaching services.
